Upon recommendation of its finance committee, the Lawrence County Board Wednesday approved funding help to Lawrence County E-911.
Approximately $19,800 in county contingency money will go to assist in the over $174,000 needed for a phone service upgrade for the agency.
The board also approved an intergovernmental agreement with Edwards County to share the services of County Assessor Sheila Schnepper.
In other moves, Mike Mefford was reappointed to a three-year term as a Lawrence-Allison Fire Protection District Trustee and James W. "Bill" Perrott reappointed to a three-year term as Christy Fire Protection District Trustee.
The board was updated by Building and Grounds Committee Chairman Tom Robinson on the continuing inside and outside renovation work being done at the county courthouse in downtown Lawrenceville.
He indicated the work is progressing and was pleased with the project, so far.
