Corteva and the Indiana State Fairgrounds were joined by members of the community Wednesday to unveil the newly named Corteva Coliseum.
The naming rights partnership was first announced last year and represents a commitment by Corteva and the Indiana State Fairgrounds to Indiana agriculture and to help ensure the Coliseum continues to offer memorable experiences and world-class events.
The Coliseum, an iconic symbol of the Indiana State Fairgrounds, has drawn visitors from every corner of the state and around the globe since 1939.
"We are thrilled to partner with Corteva to usher in a new era for this incredible venue," said Cindy Hoye, executive director, Indiana State Fair Commission. "The Corteva Coliseum will continue to be a hub for community events and a symbol of our shared investment in the people of Indiana."
Corteva, headquartered in Indianapolis, is a leading, pureplay agricultural technology company that invests to help farmers solve some of the world’s toughest challenges, including food security.
“The Corteva Coliseum is an important venue for our hometown and everyone who loves the Indiana State Fair ,” said Audrey Grimm, senior vice president and chief people officer at Corteva. “We’re excited to partner with the Indiana State Fairgrounds to ensure the Coliseum remains a cornerstone of our state’s celebration of agriculture.”
Attendees had the opportunity to tour the facility, view the new signage, and engage with the speakers. The open house highlighted Corteva's and the Indiana State Fairgrounds' ongoing commitment to the Indianapolis community.
Corteva is also the sponsor of the Indiana State Fair’s Featured Farmers program, in addition to more than 45 organizations across Indiana, including FFA, 4-H, Gleaners Food Bank and United Way of Central Indiana.
