A beloved piece of Hollywood history is coming to The REES Theatre next week. The 1954 classic comedy The Long, Long Trailer, starring Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz, will be shown as a special matinee on Wednesday, June 10 at 2:00 PM.
The film follows a newlywed couple whose dream cross-country honeymoon quickly unravels into a series of comic disasters — all thanks to an oversized trailer they insist on bringing along. Ball and Arnaz bring their signature chemistry and timing to the big screen, delivering the same kind of laugh-out-loud humor that made them legends on I Love Lucy.
The matinee is geared toward classic film fans, couples, and anyone looking for a fun, relaxed afternoon of vintage Hollywood entertainment in the historic setting of The REES. Whether you grew up watching Ball and Arnaz or are discovering them for the first time, the screening promises a nostalgic and entertaining outing. The showing is made possible through the generous support of sponsors Allen and Donna Pontius.
Tickets are on sale now through Eventbrite and at Na Rie Simple Treasures, with additional tickets available at the Everwise Box Office the night of the show. Seating is limited, so early purchase is encouraged.
