Rumors started by a social media post on the Peru Scanner Facebook page that accused a Caston School Corp. bus being investigated had some parents on edge at the school district Monday, March 31.
Caston Superintendent Angela Miller sent an email to parents yesterday morning explaining that no Caston students or staff had been involved in the incident.

Miller stated that after school personnel investigated the matter, they found that the bus in question was traded in and resold to a private entity and the purchaser had not yet removed the Caston name from the side of the bus.
An investigation is ongoing, and Miller declined to comment further on the situation at this time.
