A Cass County man was arrested on felony charges after a nine-month investigation into allegations of child molesting.
Members of the Indiana State Police- Peru Post arrested Jerry Norris, 61, of Galveston, folllowing the investigation that began in March 2024 when allegations were reported to the Indiana State Police. During the investigation, detectives determined that Norris allegedly had improper contact with a juvenile in Cass County.
At the conclusion of the investigation, the case was presented to the Cass County Prosecutor’s Office. Ultimately, an arrest warrant and search warrant were obtained for Norris and his residence. Officers was taken into custody after he was located at his residence.
Once taken into custody, Norris was served the search warrant for his residence. After a subsequent search, officers located multiple electronic devices, suspected marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.
At the conclusion of the investigation, he was incarcerated in the Cass County Jail.

-Child Molesting, C Felony
-Attempted Child Exploitation, C Felony
-Dissemination of Matter Harmful to Minors, D Felony
-Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor, A Misdemeanor
-Possession of Marijuana, B Misdemeanor
-Possession of Paraphernalia, C Misdemeanor
