Bridgeport Police release info on investigation, two juveniles arrested

The Bridgeport Police Department has concluded its investigation into the incident that occurred Friday evening at the high school and surrounding properties.
During the initial response, law enforcement received information concerning the possible involvement of a firearm. After conducting interviews, reviewing available video evidence, and completing the investigation, no evidence was found that a firearm or other weapon was possessed, displayed, or used during the incident.
As a result of the investigation, two juveniles have been charged with battery and assault in connection with the incident.
Due to the ages of the individuals involved, no identifying information regarding the juveniles will be released.
The Bridgeport Police Department posted that it would like to thank the Lawrence County Dispatch Center, Lawrence County Sheriff's Department, Lawrenceville Police Department, school administration and staff, and the members of the public who assisted during the initial response and subsequent investigation.
The department would also like to thank the students, parents, families, and members of the public for their patience and understanding regarding the temporary changes in procedures implemented by the Red Hill Community School District #10 for the football games and homecoming festivities following this incident. These measures were put into place out of an abundance of caution.
