This 2020 adaptation of Jack London’s 1903 classic novel follows a dog named Buck, who is taken from his California home and sold into service as a sled dog in Alaska. Buck is forced to fight for survival in this unforgiving environment, ultimately dominating the other dogs. Drawing on his primal instincts and learned experiences, he rises as a leader in the wild.
Just in time for Valentine’s Day, “Love Story” tells the tale of a boy and a girl from different backgrounds who fall in love despite their circumstances. Oliver hails from an affluent East Coast, White Anglo-Saxon Protestant family, while Jenny is a quick-witted, working-class student from Rhode Island. Despite their differences, they fall in love and marry, but life intervenes with their happily ever after. This 1970 film is based on Eric Segal’s novel.
