Allen Reese Hearing Aid Center marks 50 years in downtown Plymouth

A downtown Plymouth staple is celebrating a half-century of service for the community. Allen Reese Hearing Aid Center, located at 322 N. Michigan St., Suite C, has announced its 50th anniversary of providing hearing health care to residents.

Since opening its doors in 1976, the center has grown from a mission to help people hear more clearly into a multi-generational legacy focused on relationships and trust.

"We can hardly believe 50 years have passed," the center said in a statement. "What began as a mission to help people hear more clearly has grown into a lasting tradition built on relationships, trust, and care."

The business is currently led by Rod and Beth Noftsger, who reflected on the milestone with gratitude for the community they serve.

"It has truly been a blessing," said Rod Noftsger. "We are grateful and humbled by the number of people we have been able to help over the years. We look forward to continuing this work and serving even more families in the future."

For Beth (Reese) Noftsger, the anniversary represents a personal connection to her family's history.

"It has been an honor to carry on my family’s legacy, passed down from my parents," she said. "Continuing their mission to serve the community and help families communicate with and honor their loved ones means more to me than words can express."

To commemorate the occasion, the center plans to host special events throughout the year to celebrate with the community.
