A crash on U.S. 6, Monday afternoon, sent five people to the hospital.
First responders were dispatched to U.S. 6 and Quince Road at approximately 3:35 after the Marshall County Central Dispatch Center received a call regarding a three-vehicle.
Officers with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department learned that a westbound 2008 Chevy Silverado driven by Dana Shaum of Walkerton was stopped on U.S. 6, waiting to turn south onto Quince Road. A 2019 GMC Terrain, driven by Jessica Sheaks of Walkerton, was also traveling west and failed to yield to the stopped Silverado and rear-ended the pickup truck. The collision pushed the Silverado into the eastbound lane of U.S. 6, where it was struck by an eastbound 2017 Chevy Silverado driven by Timothy Krohn, also of Walkerton.
There were five people transported to the hospital, including 3 children.
The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department was assisted by the Indiana State Police, an Indiana Conservation Officer, Walkerton Police Department, Polk Township Fire Department and EMS, LaPaz EMS, Bremen EMS, and Reichert-Knepp Towing.
