The Rochester Community School Board held the public hearing for the proposed 2026 budget on October 7.

Smith notes a difficult process was even harder this year with changes in Indiana’s handling of property taxes.
Superintendent Dr. Jana vance says several different timelines do factor into the budget.
Adoption of the budget is slated for a meeting on October 20 at 6:30 p.m.
