Marshall County Blueberry Half Pot organizers closely monitored the October 2 deadline countdown, eager to hear from this year’s winning ticket holder. However, the date to claim the $18,743 prize passed last week with no news; the prize remained unclaimed.
According to the official raffle rules, United Way will retain the full prize since the prize was not claimed within the set time parameters. This year’s Blueberry Half Pot (50/50) raffle raised $37,487, meaning the full pot will benefit UWMC and a network of nonprofits serving Marshall County, improving the education, health, and financial stability of every person in our local communities.
United Way Board President Ginny Munroe said, “We are so grateful for the support of the many volunteers and ticket buyers with this annual fundraiser. It’s fun to see the excitement build as the jackpot grows and also so gratifying to hear so many say that it supports a good cause. Thank you for helping us lead the way for a brighter future for our local families.”
