At 2 a.m. Tuesday, July 8th, Plymouth Police were dispatched to the area of East Lake Avenue and Gideon Street for the report of a male subject sleeping on a residential lawn.
Arriving on the scene, police located a male subject lying in the grass. He was identified as Max Borjas-Bennett, 19, of Plymouth. Officers determined that he was under the influence of alcohol. Borjas-Bennett was arrested for public intoxication and transported to the Marshall County Jail, where he was booked in, issued a court date, and a cash bond.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
