The Community Foundation of Pulaski County recently announced that $17,000 in grants have been awarded to local nonprofits and community organizations.
Community Grants are funds given at the discretion of their Grants Committee, to help ensure Pulaski County continues to thrive and grow. Funding for the discretionary grants were made possible thanks to donations from many individuals, families, and businesses in Pulaski County.
“This grant cycle revealed a clear and inspiring trend—local nonprofits are deeply focused on empowering the youth of our community. We are honored to support these efforts and excited to see the lasting impact of all the projects,” said Community Foundation of Pulaski County Executive Director Leeann Wright.
This grant cycle blessed four organizations with grants including Boy Scout Troup #229 receiving $1,500 for their Boston trip, Eastern Pulaski & West Central School Corporations who receiving $10,000 towards the Boys and Girls Club of Pulaski County, Pulaski County Human Services receiving $3,800 for building renovations and West Central Music Boosters granted $2,145 towards their Timpani Drum Project.
Grants are reviewed and awarded three times each year. The Foundation Staff said they wish to express their deepest thanks and gratitude for all of the forward-thinking donors, as well as Grants Committee Members and Board for their time and thoughtful efforts in this important program for the community of Pulaski County.
