Fresh off the success of TW Streakin Cowboy, a multiple stakes winner in Indiana, it appears owner Tom Wylie has another standout in the works.
TW A Political Beach rallied home with authority to take top honors in the Heartland Futurity Trials Saturday at Horseshoe Indianapolis.
Trained by Natasha Perez, TW A Political Beach began from post seven and stepped out of the gate on top. Fatimaa and Giovani Vazquez-Gomez were tracking on the outside in second in a close battle with Hesa Relentless Seis and Rolando Pina long the inside.
In the final stages, TW A Political Beach showed her dominance, speeding under the wire in a time of 17.927 for the win by one and three-quarter lengths. Fatimaa finished a neck ahead of Lavish Sin Tacha and Francisco Quintero for third.
TW A Political Beach paid $2.40 for the win. The freshman filly was making her third career start and scored her second win in the race for Wylie, who bred and raised her from his brood mare WH Imastreakinbeach, who was a six-time winner and a stakes contender in Indiana for Wylie and his wife, Tammy.
The sorrel filly is a half sister to Wylie’s TW Streakin Cowboy, who just won the $75,000 Horseshoe Indianapolis QHRAI Derby last week, his third stakes victory in the past year.
Natasha Perez, a former jockey turned trainer, oversees the conditioning for both TW Streakin Cowboy and TW A Political Beach.

The day will include four stakes finals with purses surging over the $700,000 mark.
Martha Claussen, nationally known Quarter Horse racing analyst, will be trackside to help present the racing program for the day.
Several activities will be held including live entertainment by Eric Roberts on the awning stage, inflatables and facepainting for the younger racing fans, and Quarter Four, courtesy of the Quarter Horse Association of Indiana.
