Triton Central’s Kennedy Hall was one of three individual golfers to advance to regional competition out of Monday’s New Palestine Sectional at The Links Golf Course.
Hall overcame struggles on holes No. 14 and No. 15 to finish strong for a round of 96 which earned her the second of three qualifying spots. Rushville’s Emma Tressler shot 89 and Greenfield-Central’s Tanessa O’Neal shot 100 to advance.
New Palestine captured the sectional title with a 324. Mt. Vernon (362) and Shenandoah (403) also advanced to Saturday’s Lapel Regional to be played at Edgewood Golf Course.
New Palestine’s Katherine Kelley carded a 76 to top her teammate, Lauren Deering, by one stroke to earn the sectional medalist title.
Triton Central finished sixth in the team standings with a 457, trailing Rushville (430) and Greenfield-Central (432).
Also competing for Triton Central Monday were Lyndsay Huxford (114), Emersynn Ailes (118), Jaylee Davis (129) and Hanna Fink (132).
Morristown had two golfers at the sectional. Clara Hale shot 126 and Jorja Geise posted a 137 to close out their golf season.
