Morristown volleyball swept Tri Saturday morning to reach the North Decatur Sectional championship match.
The Yellow Jackets produced a 25-17, 26-24, 25-21 win over the Titans in one semifinal match.
In the other semifinal, South Decatur survived a five-set thriller to eliminate North Decatur, 25-16, 9-25, 14-25, 25-22, 17-15.
South Decatur prevailed Saturday night in the championship match, 25-15, 26-28, 25-13, 25-11 to secure the program’s first sectional title since 1998.
With the win, South Decatur improved to 28-4.
Morristown ended the season at 13-19.

Roncalli Sectional
Roncalli def. Shelbyville, 25-6, 25-7, 25-19
The state’s top-ranked Class 3A team swept Shelbyville in the sectional semifinal round to bring an end to the Golden Bears’ season.
Grace Troxell finished with a team-high eight kills to push Roncalli into the sectional championship match where it defeated New Palestine, 25-9, 25-15, 25-11 to improve to 31-0 this season.
The Royals finished with 14 service aces against Shelbyville and Eva Hurrle had a team-high 10 digs.
Shelbyville closed out the season at 7-25 with three seniors on the roster – Addison Hartman, Ashlyn Turner and Kali Laycock.

Shelbyville’s top doubles team of Aiden Smith and Wyatt Armstrong lost to Hamilton Southeastern’s Landon Osswald and Tyler Rich, 6-4, 7-5, Saturday in the semifinal round of the regional doubles tournament.
The Golden Bears finished the season with a 22-3 record and were unanimous All-Conference and All-District selections.
Osswald and Rich defeated Brownstown Central’s Lane Steward and Pierson Wheeler, 7-5, 6-2, in the regional championship.
