Shelbyville's scoreless streak ended at 15 quarters, but the Golden Bears could not slow down Pendleton Heights in the regular-season finale Friday at McKeand Stadium.
The Arabians raced out to a 28-7 lead at halftime and extended the lead to 42-7 after three quarters.
Shelbyville added a second touchdown in the fourth quarter to set the final score at 42-14.
With the win Pendleton Heights improved to 4-5 overall and 3-4 in the Hoosier Heritage Conference.
Shelbyville closed out the regular season at 1-8 (0-7 HHC).
The Golden Bears fell behind 21-0 on Senior Night but Grantland Fitzgerald scored on a 17-yard run with 3:38 left in the second quarter to end Shelbyville’s scoreless streak.
Postseason preparation begins Monday for the Golden Bears, who will travel to Greenwood (2-7) Friday for its Class 4A, Sectional 23 opener.
