Morristown rolls by Traders Point Christian Academy for first win of season

Morristown built a 46-12 lead by halftime Monday and cruised to its first win of the season over Traders Point Christian Academy, 67-32.

Brayden Anderson scored 11 of his 18 points in the opening quarter to get the Yellow Jackets off to a 22-8 lead.

Dalton McMichael hit a pair of three-pointers in the second quarter and Kellen Crim scored seven of his game-high 20 points to secure the 34-point advantage at halftime.

The Knights (0-2) outscored Morristown 13-11 in the third quarter but it was not enough to spark a comeback.

Bryce Martin led the Knights with 11 points. Gage Fisher finished with eight.

McMichael finished with 11 points to get three Morristown players into the double-digit scoring category.

Owen Rinzel led the Yellow Jackets with six rebounds. Anderson added six assists and five steals. Crim had five rebounds, three assists and five steals.

Morristown (1-1) hosts Class A, No. 2 Hauser (1-1) Friday.
