Members of the Waldron High School tennis team have been named the Beth Prince State Farm Athletes of the Week.
The Mohawks dominated the Mid-Hoosier Conference tournament Saturday, sweeping all three singles brackets as well as both double brackets.
Charlie Fischer (No. 1 singles) claimed his third consecutive conference title. Cash Young (No. 2 singles) claimed his fourth MHC championship. Lincoln Fischer (No. 3 singles) completed the singles sweep with his second consecutive conference title.
Jackson Kuhn and Caige Sheaffer (No. 1 doubles) earned a MHC title together -- the second for Kuhn and first for Sheaffer.
Connor Ping and Noah Mitchell (No. 2 doubles) completed the doubles sweep. It is the first conference championship for both players.
On Tuesday, Waldron beat Hauser 5-0 at home to claim the MHC team title. It is the Mohawks' fifth straight conference championship.
