Shelbyville High School senior Kali Laycock has been named the Beth Prince State Farm Athlete of the Week.
Laycock on Saturday announced her commitment to Franklin College to continue her academic and athletic career. She will play softball while attending Franklin College.
"Thank you to everyone who has supported me in my softball journey," she said in a post on X.
Last season for the Golden Bears, Laycock finished with 18 hits, 12 RBIs and four doubles. Defensively as a catcher, she had a .992 fielding percentage and committed just two errors.
