The season came to a close for the Red Hill golf Salukis Monday as they finished 11th out of 12 teams in the Class 2A Sectional played at the Effingham Country Club.
Host Effingham St. Anthony won the team title with a 294 total followed by Normal (University) with 306 and Mahomet-Seymour with 314. Those three teams will advance to the Class 2A State Finals on Friday, October 9th at the Weibring Golf Course in Normal, Ill. Normal (University) is the defending 2A state champion.
The Salukis shot a team total of 347 on the day. The low man was senior Nox Gray with 84. Next was senior Hudson Meek with 85, junior Ross Moore with 88, junior Baron Young with 90, junior Bradley Buchanon with 94 and senior Jaxten Chansler with 97. The medalist for the tournament was junior Jack Quinn from Normal (University) with 71.
