Lawrenceville High School will be looking for another Indian baseball coach in the future.
The Lawrence County Unit #20 Board of Education moved this week to accept the resignation of Greg Cotton after one season at the helm. He took over the Indians program last season after Lance Boldt left and led the Tribe to a 10-11 overall record. They went 2-5 in the Little Illini Conference and lost in the postseason to the Marshall Lions in the regional semifinals at Paris.
The open position will now be posted, and those interested can contact the district. it is hoped that a new coach will be selected in the next month or two.
