The North Clay Baseball Cardinals gained a split in action here in Lawrence County.
They lost a 5-4 game to the Indians at Lawrenceville Friday but rebounded Saturday to beat the Red Hill Salukis 12-1 in 6 innings at the Tank Farm in Bridgeport. The visitors scored 6 times in the top of the second inning and never looked back.
They scored 12 runs on 13 hits and made no errors, while the Salukis were held to 1 run on 3 hits with 1 error. Hayden Arbuckle had a RBI triple and Peyton Seaney had two other hits for the 5-6 Salukis. Garrett Moorehead started and took the loss for the Salukis.
They will stay home Tuesday and host Union (Dugger) at 4:30 p.m.
