Robert Edward Elliott, 92, of Shelbyville

Robert Edward Elliott, 92, of Shelbyville, passed away Saturday, October 4, 2025 at MHP Medical Center.
 
Born July 7, 1933 in Shelbyville, he was the son of John Edmond Elliott and Hazel (Fisher) Elliott.  He married Beverly (Ray) Elliott in 1952, and she survives.
 
Other survivors include 3 children- Pam Tucker (Dan) of Shelbyville, Theresa Harlan (Joe) of Arizona, Deborah Sue Elliott of Shelbyville; 3 grandchildren- Robert Mason Elliott, Joshua Tucker, Holly Marie Harmon; and several great grandchildren.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Robbie Elliott, Jr., and a brother Willard Elliott.
 
Mr. Elliott was a lifelong resident of this area, attended high school in Milroy, and attended 3 years of electrical college in Indianapolis.  He was an electronic technician at Naval Avionics, retiring in 1975 after many years of service.  He also owned and operated B&B Kawasaki in Shelbyville for several years.  He was a member of American Legion, and Veterans of Foreign Wars, where he had served as commander for several years.  He was a US Navy veteran in the Korean War, attaining Rank of 3rd Class Petty officer.
 
Robert enjoyed fishing with his grandson and son-in-law, and dancing on Friday nights.  He loved the outdoors, spending time aboard his boat,  and spending time with his dog Rufus.
 
No services are planned at this time.  Burial will be at 11:00 am on Thursday, October 9, 2025 in St. Vincent Catholic Cemetery.
