Mickey Baker, 76, of Rochester, was surrounded by his loving family when he passed away early Wednesday morning, April 29, 2026 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
On May 25, 1949, Mickey was born to William Eugene and Mary Ruth Kuhn Baker at Woodlawn Hospital, Rochester. Sadly, his mother and baby sister, Judy, passed away in March 1953.

From this union spanning 58 years, three children were born and the family tree grew to include several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mickey devoted himself to helping raise his grandsons, Josh and Jonathin.
Throughout his life, Mickey enjoyed farming with his father, Eugene, and Uncle Bud raising their hogs and row crops of soybeans and wheat. When he wasn’t busy working or farming, Mickey also enjoyed camping, visiting Indiana Beach as well as many Indiana state parks. Mickey was also an avid hunter and shared the hunts with his children and grandchildren, often bringing home several trophy bucks to adorn his walls. Following open heart surgery, Mickey continued enjoying life and spending time riding his golf cart around the neighborhood with his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and his Great Dane, Kasey.
