Larry L. Murhling, 88, of Rochester

Larry L. Murhling, 88, of Rochester, was surrounded by his loving family when he passed away in the early morning hours of July 7, 2026. This followed a brave and valiant battle with Parkinsons.

On September 27, 1937, Larry Lee Murhling was born in Delong to Everett and Geraldine Robinson Murhling. Growing up he shared his childhood with a sister, Violet and a brother Ed. Larry graduated from Kewanna High School with his class in 1956. He continued his education in Louisville, Kentucky obtaining his certification as a licensed barber from the Kentucky College of Barbering.

On October 24, 1964, Larry and Kay F. Sadler were married. They have shared over 62 years of life’s adventures. From their union came a daughter, Amy and a son Bill. Another generation has been added to the family tree with the blessings of four grandchildren. Larry was the barber at "Larry's Barbershop" in downtown Kewanna, the small town with the big heart.

Left to cherish Larry's memory are his wife Kay, at home; a daughter, Amy (Jim) Marrs; a son, Bill (Julie) Murhling all of Indianapolis; four grandchildren: David (Lauren) Murhling, Nick Murhling, Anna Murhling and Katie Murhling. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Preceding Larry in death are his parents, a sister Violet Clyde and a brother Edward Murhling.

A celebration of the life of Larry Lee Murhling will be at 2:30 PM on Friday, July 10, 2026 in the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 West 18th St., Rochester.

Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to services. Ch. Jeremy Losier will officiate.

Interment will be in the Rochester IOOF Cemetery.
