James “J.D.” Meadors, 81, of Clinton, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at Vermillion Convalescent Center.
He was born in Connersville, Indiana on July 29, 1944, to the late LaRue and Freddie (York) Meadors.
J.D. was a retired union carpenter out of Local #133 in Terre Haute, and he was a member of the Clinton Boat Club. He and his wife Mickey were married on May 8, 1965, and shared 61 years of love, life, and memories.
Those left behind to remember J.D. are his wife, Mickey Meadors; daughters, Jamie Wyres (Willie), and Nancy Johnson (Chas); brother, Michael Meadors (Laura); sisters, Susan Meadors, and Sally Unversaw (Duane); grandchildren, Meghan Bell (Zach), Alex Branz (Jordan), Carlie Kunkle (Ethan), Brandon Johnson (Hannah), Autumn Wyres, and Summer Christensen; great-grandchildren, Colt, Barrett and Remi Bell, Rory and Wesley Branz, Riddic Kunkle, Bryton Wyres, Auron and Ivan Christensen.
Honoring J.D.’s wishes cremation was chosen. There will be no service. Final arrangements have been entrusted to Frist Funeral Home.
