
Jack Leroy Holden, 89, Peru, passed away at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at Blair Ridge Health Campus, Peru, surrounded by his family.
Born November 9, 1935, in Peru, Indiana, he was the son of Sanford Thomas Holden and Marie Mosaline Brechbiel Holland.
Jack graduated from Jefferson Township High School in 1954 and was a member of Mexico Community Church. He retired from Chrysler Corporation in Kokomo, where he had worked for over thirty-years. He was a member of the Peru Masonic Lodge, The Shriners, and the Peru Moose Lodge. He enjoyed being outside and loved fishing, hunting, cutting firewood, riding go-carts, and mushroom hunting. Jack never met a stranger and loved to sit back and relax with a cigar and a PBR.
Survivors include two sons, Gregory Sandford Holden (Tammy Everroad), Peru; and Kirk Jay (Janie) Holden, Peru; five grandchildren, Melissa Holden, Peru; Lindsey (Mike) Granson, Russiaville; Jordan (Kasey) Holden, Kokomo; and Whitney (Jordan) Swing, Peru; and Shane (Audra) Holden, Greenwood; twelve great-grandchildren; four sisters, Paula Guyer, Georgianna Fisher, Rita Conley, and Natalie (Mike) Mullett, all of Peru; step-granddaughter, Kayla Walrod, Peru; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and several step-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter-in-law, Charlotte Holden.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at McClain Funeral Home, Denver, Indiana, with Pastor Kyle Schnitz officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Mexico.
Visitation will be from 3-7:00 p.m. Monday, July 14, 2025, at the funeral home.
