Jack Dwight Disser, 94, of Shelbyville

Jack Dwight Disser, 94, of Shelbyville, passed away on Friday, May 29, 2026, in Brownsburg.
He was born on December 18, 1931, in Shelbyville, the son of Ralph J. and Mary (Klare) Disser.  On July 5, 1957, he married his wife of 68 years, Shirley Cole, and she survives.
In addition to Shirley, Jack is survived by his children, D. Scott Disser and wife, Angela, of Greenfield, Kurt Jay Disser and significant other, Sabrina Graham, of Brownsburg, and Leigh Ann Disser of Fishers; grandchildren, Cole, Brock, Derek, Blake and Josslyn; and numerous sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ralph  Disser,  Paul Disser, Karl Disser and Louis Disser; and sister, Jo Ann Disser.
In 1949, Jack graduated from Shelbyville High School.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict.
Jack was part owner and operator of Shelby Steel.
He was a member of the American Legion.
Jack enjoyed going fishing, gardening and working in his yard.
Graveside services and Interment will be at 2pm, Monday, June 1, 2026 at Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery, 704 Morris Avenue in Shelbyville, with Pastor Randy Worland officiating.
Services have been entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Greenfield Boy Scout Troop No. 770.
