Former Fulton County resident, Mary "Lennie" Graves, 76

Former Fulton County resident, Mary "Lennie" Graves, 76, passed away at Carmel St. Vincent on September 3, 2025 at 8:20 pm with her loving daughters by her side.

On May 8, 1949, Mary Lenore Stratton was born in Front Royal, VA.  She was the precious daughter of Thomas Harris and Viola Jean Bly Stratton.  Growing up she shared her childhood with a brother David.  In 1967 she graduated from Rochester High School.  With a vision to become a nurse, Lennie professionalized herself, achieving a lifelong dream, by earning the distinction Registered Nurse from the Marion County School of Nursing.

Left to cherish Lennie's memory are her three daughters: Carrie Smith, Christy Graves of Fishers and Joy Boyan of the Virgin Islands; and a grandson, Nathaniel Graves

Preceding Lennie in death are her parents Tom and Viola Stratton and her brother David Stratton.

A private graveside Nightingale Memorial Service to celebrate the life of Mary "Lennie" Graves will be performed by the Nursing Honor Guard of Midwestern Indiana, Winamac on September 19, 2025, at the Rochester IOOF Cemetery.
