David Joseph Parent passed away at the age of 49 on Monday, December 22, 2025.
Born on October 9, 1976, David lived life with a love for laughter, music, and doing things his own way.
David was the son of Larry Parent Sr. and the late Anita L. Parent. He was a brother to Tracy Dawn Shepherd (Adam Shepherd), Robert Kohlstedt (Allen Kohlstedt), Joey Parent (Erica Parent), Linda Perez, Larry Parent Jr. and Rachael Clayton. David was a proud uncle to Amber Roush and Noah Roush, each of whom knew him as someone who could always make them laugh or tell an unforgettable story.
David enjoyed the outdoors, gaming, and singing, especially singing. His favorite song to perform (often at full volume, whether requested or not) was "Bad to the Bone" by George Thorogood, a fitting anthem for someone who never did things halfway. Whether he was outside enjoying nature, deep into a game, or belting out lyrics with complete confidence, Dave brought personality wherever he went.
He also had a passion for collecting guns and swords, appreciating their history and craftsmanship and perhaps enjoying the fact that they made his collection one of the most interesting conversation starters around.
David will be remembered for his strong spirit, his humor, and his ability to turn ordinary moments into memorable ones. He leaves behind a family who loved him deepy and countless memories that will continue to bring smiles, laughter, and the occasional spontaneous chorus of "Bad to the Bone".
