Cindra A. Gahimer, 69, of Shelbyville, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2026 at her residence.
Born October 16, 1956 in Shelbyville, she was the daughter of Robert and Delores (Hamilton) Buchanan. She married Scott M. Gahimer on November 23, 2002, and he survives.
Other survivors include a daughter Amber Lett of Shelbyville, a son Joshua Robert Mellentine (Tawnee') of Knightstown; a brother Bill Buchanan (Joann Liang) of Westfield; several grandchildren, several great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and an infant brother Robert James Buchanan.
Mrs. Gahimer had lived her entire lifetime in this area, and graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1974. She was an original member of the Shelbyville Community Church and had been a medical assistant/medical secretary at Methodist Hospital, retiring after several years of service.
Cindra enjoyed animals, being involved in church activities, and spending time with her family.
Funeral services will be 12:00 noon on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road, with Pastor Dwayne Russell officiating.
Burial will be in Flat Rock Cemetery.
Friends may call on Tuesday morning from 10:00 am until the time of the service, at the funeral home.
