Alma Migonis, 87, of Rochester, passed away at 8:25 AM on Friday, May 30, 2025 at Life Care Center of Rochester.
On June 26, 1937, Alma was born in Chicago, IL to Anthony and Lillian Rouden Migonis as an only child. She was a 10-year member of 4H and was very proud to show her Black Angus. Alma loved her canine companion, Topsey her special Collie blend.
As a laborer, Alma assisted with the manufacturing of baskets and chests at Redmon’s of Peru for 20 years. Alma possessed a caring heart and desire to give back to those in need. She gave to her church and for animals in shelters and rescue groups. Cousin Alma was known to always be well stocked with ice cream in her freezer. Family favorites were chocolate ice cream and Drumsticks. She also is remembered to possess an abundance of new $2 bills. She happily handed them out for special tasks completed or sometimes even just for fun.
Left to cherish the Alma's memory are her cousins Harry Migonis of Rochester, Becky Coulson of Bartlett, IL; and a special friend, Carmen Mathias of Rochester.
Preceding Alma in death are her parents.
Per Alma’s wishes, private family services will be held.
