Allen R. Dyer, 77, of Plymouth passed away on Thursday July 23, 2026, at his home following a lengthy illness.
Allen was born on July 19, 1949, in LaPorte to the late Vallen and Rita (Osmanski) Dyer.
Allen graduated from Laville High School, class of 1967 and then served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam.
Allen worked as an over the road truck driver. He loved collecting old tractors and hunting.
Allen was a man of faith through his trials and tribulations and did not let go of that strong faith.
Allen is survived by his sisters; Colleen (Jim) Wickard and Aulgie Cudney. He is also survived by many friends and buddies who he loved spending time with and seeing as often as possible.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings; Valerie Dyer, Helen Marsh, and Vallen Dyer Jr.
A graveside service for Allen will be held at 11am on Friday July 31, 2026, at Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to an organization he supported and believed in, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to Faith Baptist Church in Plymouth.
