Allan J. Woolington, 70, of Plymouth

Allan J. Woolington, 70, of Plymouth passed away on Wednesday July 29, 2026, at St. Joseph Health System-Mishawaka Campus.

Allan was born on May 25, 1956, in Plymouth as the third son of Arthur and Fern (Holdread) Woolington.

Allan resided in Marshall County his entire life.  He graduated from Plymouth High School in 1975.  Allan worked for a number of local businesses including Pilgrim Farms and Pioneer Seeds.  However, his main love was farming.  He mostly worked on the family farm with his father and brothers.  He especially loved attending farm shows both local and out of state.

Allan was a member of the Union Church of the Brethren.  He started going there with his family as a young child and attended regularly until health problems in his latter years prevented his attendance.

Allan endured numerous health issues through much of his life and in later years he was confined to a wheelchair.  However, he always maintained a positive attitude and enjoyed sharing stories and articles from his computer with friends and family.  Allan loved animals and especially doted on the family dogs.  He remained at home and was cared for by family members.

Allan is survived by his father Arthur, his brothers: Dennis (Maureen) Woolington and Jim Woolington, his niece Jennifer Woolington and grand-nephew Logan Rodriguez.

Allan was preceded in death by his mother.

Visitation for Allan will be held from 10am-12pm on Friday August 7, 2026, at the Palmer Funeral Home-Plymouth Chapel, 300 W. Madison St. Plymouth.  A funeral service, officiated by Pastor Donald Deel, will begin at 12pm.  Burial will follow at Burr Oak Cemetery. After internment a reception will be held at the Union Church of the Brethren Fellowship Hall at the intersection of SR 17 and 10B Rd.

The family requests that contributions in Allen’s name be made to the Marshall County Humane Society in lieu of flowers.
