U Matter 2 is inviting the community to hit the road for a great cause this Saturday, August 15th, as the organization hosts its Poker Run Fundraiser benefiting veterans and first responders in need.
The event kicks off at 9:00 a.m. from U Matter 2 Headquarters, located at 18890 5th Road in Plymouth. Participants will embark on a 79-mile poker run before returning for a full day of festivities, including delicious food, raffle baskets, and a silent auction — all in support of a mission that has been changing lives for over eight years.
The first 100 people to preregister will receive a special U Matter 2 10-year challenge coin, making early registration not just rewarding but memorable.
U Matter 2 Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded by Sylvia and Chad King in 2016. For over ten years, the organization has operated under a simple but powerful mission: to "Serve One Veteran or First Responder At A Time!" The organization recognizes that many veterans and first responders are struggling with PTSD, unemployment, homelessness, and other challenges as they transition back into the civilian world. U Matter 2's message to them is clear: "You are not alone."
Saturday's Poker Run Fundraiser is one of the ways U Matter 2 turns that message into action, with all proceeds going directly toward supporting the veterans and first responders who have given so much to their communities and their country.
Registration is open now. For more details and to sign up, visit https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/ticketing/umatter-2-poker-run.
Whether you ride, donate, or simply spread the word, every contribution helps U Matter 2 continue its vital work — one veteran, one first responder at a time.
