Officers with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to a fight between a man and a woman on Friday just before 11 p.m.
Deputies responded to the residence at 11763 on State Road 17 in West Township and identified Oscar Andrade, 48, of the State Road 17 address, and Rikay Salmons, 24, of Second Street in Plymouth. Both men had marks inflicted on one another, and both were arrested for battery.
Salmons and Andrade were booked into the Marshall County Jail for battery and held on $250 cash bonds. Each one was able to bond out within an hour or two.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilty may be made.
