After a year-long planning process, the Town of Argos has prepared a draft Plan called “Argos 2040 Comprehensive Plan,” which is an update to their current 2017 Comprehensive Plan, and is ready for the community to review the draft Plan and share your input. The development of the draft Plan represents the community’s “BIG IDEA” for Argos, complete with a refined vision and strategic direction. The draft Plan reflects the input received from the Steering Committee, stakeholders, and residents throughout the planning process. The Town needs your input, once again, to ensure this Plan reflects your “BIG IDEAS” for Argos.
The Town is offering a 30-day comment period, allowing the community to review the draft Plan and share their input. The draft Plan is accessible for electronic viewing at https://engage.macog.com/argos-2040, or printed copies are available at Town Hall and the Argos Public Library. The public can share their input by filling out an online comment form at the listed project website, leaving a comment on the Town’s Facebook Page, or by calling 574-598-4420. Comments will be received until July 7, 2026.
Upon the conclusion of the public comment period, the next steps in the process will be to seek the Town Plan Commission’s endorsement of approval and then final approval by the Town Council at their respective meetings in July. Please visit https://engage.macog.com/argos-2040 to learn more about the development of the draft Plan.
