Only one week remains for Hoosier taxpayers to take advantage of the benefits of Tax Amnesty 2026 if they have eligible liabilities.
Tax Amnesty 2026 ends on Sept. 9, 2026.
That means taxpayers must agree to amnesty terms and either pay the base tax in full or set up a payment plan by Sept. 9, 2026. If taxpayers agree to participate, they’ll receive a waiver of related penalties, interest, and collection fees on eligible tax liabilities managed by the Indiana Department of Revenue (DOR) and Motor Carrier Services for periods ending before Jan. 1, 2024.
DOR is partnering with United Collection Bureau (UCB) for this limited-time opportunity.
Taxpayers with eligible liabilities can call UCB at 888-782-5985 to pay their amnesty balance in full or set up an amnesty payment plan. Payment plans must be completed on their terms by June 7, 2027.
They can also use DOR's online service portal, INTIME, to:
- Sign up for Tax Amnesty 2026
- Make amnesty payments
- Set up an amnesty payment plan
Eligible liabilities must total at least $100 for individuals, or $500 for businesses, to qualify for a payment plan. Once a payment plan has been established, individuals and businesses may check its status on INTIME if they have an account.

The offer ends Sept. 9 and will not be extended.
