Sumner Attendance Center will be conducting a routine school lockdown drill on Tuesday, October 20.
In a social media post announcing the drill the center noted that ensuring the safety, security, and well-being of students and staff is the absolute highest priority. Practicing these drills throughout the school year allows students, teachers, and staff to stay prepared and familiar with emergency safety procedures in a calm, controlled environment.
Please note that this is only a drill, and there is no cause for concern.
