The National Weather Service says that west to southwest winds will increase throughout the day Tuesday and could make travel difficult for high profile vehicles such as large trucks and camper trucks. Also with the strong, gusty winds will be low relative humidity values. This combination will result in an elevated fire danger across southeastern and south central Illinois. Brush and leaf burning should be avoided outdoors as any fires could quickly spread out of control.
