Shelby County Public Library announces that its annual Food for Fines community drive will be held during the entire month of November. Both the main library in Shelbyville and the Velma Wortman Morristown branch are participating locations.
Bring boxed or canned nonperishable food items to either SCPL location to pay off your overdue fines and help out your local community. Each donated item will count as $1 off in existing overdue fines. You are also welcome to donate items even if your account is in good standing.
Please be aware that fines for lost or damaged materials and fines imposed by other Evergreen libraries are not eligible.
For further information about the Library of Things, or to make suggestions about additions to the collection, call the main library at (317) 398-7121 or the Morristown branch at (765) 818-1718.
