A sex offender is facing felony charges after he was arrested in downtown Rochester on Friday during the annual Boofest event.
Clifford Reffitt, 65, of Rochester was charged with unlawful entry by a serious sex offender, a Level 6 Felony; and public intoxication, a class B misdemeanor.
According the court documents, officers noticed Reffitt on the sidewalk outside of 602 Main St in Rochester on Friday, October 30, during the annual Boofest trick-or-treating event downtown.
It was noted Reffitt was previously informed about the law pertaining to unlawful entry by a serious sex offender during a previous incident earlier this year on July 26. Reffitt plead guilty to possession of child pornography, a Level 6 Felony, in September 2025.
When speaking with Reffitt, officers noticed the smell of alcohol emanating from Reffitt. A portable breath test revealed a 0.248 breath alcohol content.
Reffitt was arrested at the scene and booked into the Fulton County Jail on no bond.
