Wednesday, U.S. Senators Todd Young (R-Ind.) and Jim Banks (R-Ind.) announced that they are soliciting applications for federal vacancies in Indiana.
The senators are soliciting applications for the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana. The application and related materials for this position must be submitted by Friday, February 21, 2025. The application can be accessed here.
In addition, the senators are soliciting applications from candidates interested in serving as U.S. Attorney for each of the Southern District and Northern District of Indiana. The application and related materials for these positions must be submitted by Friday, February 7, 2025. The application can be accessed here.
Candidates interested in a U.S. Attorney position and the U.S. District Court position are welcome to apply for both.
Senators Young and Banks also announced today that they are soliciting applications for the U.S. Marshal for each of the Southern District and Northern District of Indiana. The application and related materials for these positions must be submitted by Friday, February 7, 2025. The application can be accessed here.
U.S. District Court judges, U.S. District Attorneys, and U.S. Marshals are nominated by the President of the United States and must be confirmed by the U.S. Senate. Under the United States Constitution, U.S. senators provide advice and consent on presidential nominations.
