A semi driver died after an accident on U.S. 30 west of U.S. 31 Friday night.
At 11:40 p.m., the Marshall County Central Dispatch Center received a 911 call of a semi collision on U.S. 30 in the westbound lanes. Arriving at the scene, officers found that the semi-tractor trailer had driven off the north side of the roadway.
The driver of the vehicle, later identified as Kentawon R. Marshall, 47, of Gary, was found to be unconscious and having a medical emergency.
The first responders extricated Marshall from the semi-truck and provided aid at the scene. He was transported to Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center in Plymouth for further treatment but was ultimately pronounced deceased later at the hospital.
Agencies assisting the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department were Plymouth Police, Indiana State Police, Plymouth Fire, and the Marshall County Coroner's Office.
