Shelby County Players will be presenting Noises Off at The Wortman Family Civic Theatre beginning Friday, October 2.
Called “the funniest farce ever written,” Noises Off is a chaotic backstage farce-within-a-farce following a mediocre theatre troupe performing a bawdy comedy called “Nothing On”.
Noises Off is directed by Tiffany D. Wilson.
Following the October 2 opening, performances will continue October 3, 9, and 10 at 7:30 p.m., with Sunday matinees on October 4 and 11 at 2:00 p.m., at the Wortman Family Civic Theatre, 1416 Miller Avenue in Shelbyville.
Cast members of Noises Off include Laura Stieneker-Taylor, Carey Nigh, Tyler Amos, Bre Knopf, Jeff Haber, Alyssa Lay, Brian Heaton, Kara Hartman, and DéJon LéTray Marshall-Fisher.
Tickets can be purchased online at ShelbyCountyPlayers.org, or by calling the box office at 317-392-6844.
Of note, due to its mature content, Noises Off is recommended for audience members age 17 and over.
