Not ready to let summer go just yet? Neither is the Culver Park Department. They're sending the season off in style with an End of Summer Bash at the beach this Saturday, September 19th, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The whole family is invited to grab some food, play games, and squeeze in a few more summer memories before the leaves start turning. The event will feature food trucks — including Just Vibin Coffee and Beverage, serving up something delicious to sip while you play — along with a beanbag toss tournament, oversized lawn games, a free kids' craft, an open concession stand, and the Culver Farmers' Market, where you can shop local while you celebrate.
The highlight of the day is the Sandcastle Competition, and the rules are simple: all ages are welcome, you can sign up as an individual or a group, and you can build absolutely anything you want. Whether you're 5 or 95, a seasoned sand sculptor or someone whose specialty is "a big mound with a flag on top," the Culver Park Department wants you in on the action.
Sign-ups for the Sandcastle Competition run from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Building ends at 1:30 p.m., and winners will be announced at 2:00 p.m. First-, second-, and third-place winners will receive a medal — and you don't even need to be present to win.
So pack up the family, head to the beach, and give summer the send-off it deserves. See you Saturday!
