Over 3300 rushing yards and an 8-3 record are worthy of note from Rochester’s 2024 football season.

But a 28-24 second round sectional loss to Eastern (Greentown) left the Zebras with a bad taste in their mouth as the program continues to chase its first sectional title since 2000.

Ron Shaffer is entering his fifth year as head coach.

Brant Beck rushed for over 1400 yards last season and accounted for 20 touchdowns. He’s a great place to start when counting up the returning assets for the 2025 campaign.

A veteran return at quarterback will anchor the Zebras Wing-T attack.  Shaffer says there looking for more ways to utilize Carson Paulik’s athleticism.

Callen Ferveda is back to anchor the offensive line. He’ll get snaps on the defensive side of the ball, also.

Coach Shaffer says the defense has a lot of moving parts including the returning Grant Clark.

The Zebras will scrimmage at Winamac on Friday.

Rochester opens the season on the road August 22 at Southwood before hosting Tippecanoe Valley in the Bell Game in Week 2.
