Investigation continues by the Illinois State Police (ISP) into the circumstances surrounding the death of a male suspect in a domestic disturbance in Olney earlier this month.
The Richland County Sheriff's Department reports that on Monday, June 8th around 3:30 p.m. CDT, they responded to an incident at a residence in the 4500 block of East Golf Lane. Upon arrival, a male subject, 49-year-old Kenneth Lee Grove, was found at the location and failed to comply with commands from the deputy. Grove was then tasered by the deputy and afterward became unresponsive. Emergency medical personnel were called to the scene, and the deputy began CPR on Grove. However, Grove was pronounced dead at the scene.
The ISP Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) was requested to investigate the death by the Richland County Sheriff's Department.
