Plymouth residents will see a change in bulk item pickup starting November 1, as Republic Services moves to align collections with regular trash days.
Under the new schedule, bulk pickup will no longer take place on the first Monday of each month. Instead, bulk items will be collected on residents' regular weekly trash collection day — Tuesday or Wednesday — during the scheduled bulk collection week.
Republic Services said the change is intended to improve efficiency and provide more consistent service to customers. By aligning bulk collection with regular trash pickup days, the company hopes to make the program more convenient and easier to remember.
Approved bulk items should be placed at the curb by 5:00 a.m. on the scheduled trash collection day during the designated bulk pickup week.
Republic Services expressed appreciation for the patience and cooperation of citizens as the change is implemented. Residents with questions about bulk collection guidelines or their pickup schedule can contact the Culver office at 800-843-9631.
